Node-based AI workflow tools: genvi, ComfyUI, Figma Weave, Flora

Node-based AI workflow tools in plain words: genvi, ComfyUI, Figma Weave and Flora side by side, with prices as of November 2026 from each site.

Node-based AI workflow tools let you connect steps into a chart and run it again whenever you like. This guide compares four: genvi, ComfyUI, Figma Weave and Flora. We make genvi, so read our section with that in mind. Every competitor price comes from that company's own pricing page, as of November 2026. Where we could not check something, we say so.

What a node-based AI workflow is

A node is one step, such as a prompt, an image, an upscale or a video. A line carries the result of one node into the next. Run the chart and each step runs in order. There are two reasons to work this way. You can change one input and run it again. And one input can feed many branches at once. Credits, which come up below, are what you spend each time you make something.

ComfyUI

ComfyUI is a free, open source tool for node workflows that you can run on your own computer through Comfy Desktop. Open source means anyone can read and change its code. You load open models yourself, and Partner Nodes reach models from other companies, such as Nano Banana Pro. Comfy Cloud is the paid hosted version. Its plans are Standard $16 a month when billed yearly ($20 monthly), Creator $28 ($35), Pro $80 ($100) and Team $630 ($700) for up to 50 members. Prices are as of November 2026, from comfy.org. Credits pay for computer time and Partner Nodes.
Best for people with a powerful graphics card who want local control, custom nodes and an open community. Trade-off: you maintain the setup yourself. Our full comparison: genvi vs ComfyUI.

Figma Weave

Figma Weave (formerly Weavy) is a node canvas for image, video, 3D and audio models from other companies. As of November 2026, from weave.figma.com. Free $0 with 150 credits a month and five workflows. Starter $24 a month billed yearly. Professional $45 with credits that carry over for three months. Max $100 with credits that carry over for four months. Team $42 per user a month. Its API is for Enterprise only, and a link to the Figma canvas is listed as in progress.
Best for designers and teams close to Figma who like credits that carry over. Trade-off: the API, which lets other apps use your account, is limited to Enterprise. More in genvi vs Figma Weave.

Flora

Flora is a big open canvas with node-style workflows for text, image and video, aimed at teams. As of November 2026, from flora.ai, it is priced per person per month with a shared usage pool counted in dollars. Plans are Free, Starter $18, Pro $50 and Max $200, with Enterprise for teams of nine or more. Models named on the page include Nano Banana 2, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0 and Kling, among 60+. App Mode, Action node and batch are listed.
Best for teams who work together in real time. Trade-off: generation history is 30 days on Starter, and we could not confirm a timeline editor or an API. Our comparison: genvi vs Flora.

genvi

genvi's Node Studio has about 30 types of node, covering inputs, text, image, video, audio, 3D and structure. Each connection has a type, so a connection that makes no sense is refused. You can run the whole chart, everything after one node, or everything up to one. A generation node can run once for each line of a list, after showing you the total. The same project has a video editor, an image editor, a whiteboard, a 3D studio and chat. The assistant can build and run workflows from a description.
Plans are Free (150 credits), Hobby ($5.99 a month, 2,000 credits), Indie ($14.99, 5,000) and Pro ($49.99, 20,000). Check the pricing section for live prices. Best for people who want node workflows plus editors, and an API on every plan. Trade-off: it is hosted only, with no custom nodes you install yourself, and its live teamwork is less developed than Flora's.

How to choose

  • You want control and have your own computer: ComfyUI.
  • You live in Figma and want credits that carry over: Figma Weave.
  • A team will work on one canvas at once: Flora.
  • You want node workflows, a timeline, layers, 3D and an assistant in one project: genvi.
Credits and dollars cannot be compared across these tools, so run one real job on each free option before you pay. For a concrete genvi example, see how to batch generate product photos.
One last point: a workflow only helps if you reuse it. If you will run a job once, a simple generator is faster. If you will run it every week with new inputs, build it once and save time on every run after.

What we could not verify

To be fair, here is what we could not check. We could not confirm a timeline editor, a phone app or an API for Flora. We could not confirm a phone app for Weave. We could not confirm audio and 3D as built-in features of ComfyUI. If any of those matter to you, check the company's site. We read the prices in this guide from official pages in November 2026, and they can change.

FAQ

Which node-based AI tool is free?

ComfyUI is free and open source to run on your own computer. Weave, Flora and genvi have limited free plans.

Which has an API?

genvi offers API keys, /api/v1 and an MCP server. ComfyUI documents an experimental cloud API. Weave offers it on Enterprise. We could not confirm Flora's.

Do I need nodes at all?

Not for one-off images. Nodes pay off when you repeat or branch the same job.
