Convert video without uploading it

A MOV from your phone will not open on every PC, and MP4 will. Pick the format you need, add a few videos at once, and each one comes back on its own.

Free, no account needed, and your file stays on your device.

What you get

Your video stays with you

Nothing is uploaded. The file is read from your own disk, so a large video does not have to travel anywhere.

MP4 plays everywhere

MP4 is the safest choice for email, phones, TVs and anything that refuses the file you have now.

Quick when it can be

When your video already fits the format you picked, it is copied straight across, so it looks the same.

Questions

Will it look worse?
Not when your video already fits the format you chose, because the picture is copied over untouched. Otherwise it is rebuilt, and a little sharpness goes, which is rarely visible on phone footage.
How long does it take?
Often seconds. When the video has to be rebuilt it takes about as long as the video plays, so a long film is worth starting and leaving alone.
Why will one of my videos not open?
A few videos, including some iPhone recordings, are in a form your browser cannot read. You are told the moment you add the file. A recent Chrome, Edge or Safari handles the rest.
