- Not when your video already fits the format you chose, because the picture is copied over untouched. Otherwise it is rebuilt, and a little sharpness goes, which is rarely visible on phone footage.
- How long does it take?
- Often seconds. When the video has to be rebuilt it takes about as long as the video plays, so a long film is worth starting and leaving alone.
- Why will one of my videos not open?
- A few videos, including some iPhone recordings, are in a form your browser cannot read. You are told the moment you add the file. A recent Chrome, Edge or Safari handles the rest.
