What you get

Once, or rows of it

One stamp through the middle suits a cover page. Repeated rows suit a draft you would rather nobody reused.

Readable page underneath

Opacity runs from 5 to 60 percent, so the mark shows without making the words beneath it hard to read.

A light tone for dark pages

Dark gray reads on white and vanishes on black, so slides and posters get the lighter tone instead.

Questions

Can the watermark be removed?
Treat it as a label, not a lock. It becomes part of the page, so no reader can switch it off, but somebody with a PDF editor can still take it off.
Can I use my logo instead of text?
Not here. The stamp is text only, Latin letters and numbers, which is why it reads the same in every reader. A logo has to go in before the PDF is made.
Does every page get stamped?
Yes, all of them, with the same text. To mark only part of a document, pull those pages into their own PDF, stamp that, and merge it back.
