Questions
- Does the ZIP open on Windows and Mac?
- Yes. It is an ordinary ZIP, so File Explorer on Windows and Finder on a Mac both open it by double clicking, and nobody needs to install anything at either end.
- Can I put a password on it?
- No. There is no password field and the ZIP is not locked. If the contents need protecting on the way to someone, add a password with a desktop tool after downloading.
- Will the ZIP be smaller than the files?
- Often barely. Photos, video and music are already squeezed down, so a ZIP of those is mainly one file instead of many. PDFs and some 3D files do get smaller.
