Technology & SaaS

Software has nothing to photograph, which is an annoying problem. Product marketing and devrel teams use genvi for launch imagery, abstract concept visuals, explainer film and the diagram that finally makes an architecture make sense.

For Product marketing, Developer relations, Founders, Enterprise sales and Design teams.

What you’ll make

Launch imagery

A visual identity for a release that is not another screenshot sitting on a gradient.

Concept visuals

Metaphors for the things software does that nobody can point a camera at.

Explainer film

Ninety seconds that make an abstract product feel concrete.

Architecture diagrams

System diagrams generated from a description, then corrected, rather than drawn from nothing.

How it works, step by step

Top to bottom, in the order you’d actually do it. Every model named here is one genvi really runs.

  1. 1Chat Studio

    Find the metaphor

Describe what the product does and ask for visual metaphors instead of pictures. The hard part of technology marketing is deciding what the thing looks like at all, and this makes that decision testable.

  2. 2Whiteboard

    Diagram the system

Generate flowcharts, ERDs and architecture diagrams from a sentence, then fix them. Correcting a wrong diagram is so much faster than drawing a right one.

  3. 3Node Workflows

    Build the release set

Put the visual language in a reference node, then make every asset the launch needs off it: blog header, social, changelog, docs banner.

  4. 4Voice & Music

    Narrate the explainer

Generate the voice-over plus a bed that stays out of the way of a technical script.

  5. 5Video Composer

    Cut the launch film

Screen capture, generated visuals and diagrams on one timeline. The mix is the whole point: pure generated footage doesn't explain software, and pure screen capture doesn't sell it.

Briefs you can steal

5 of them, each with the prompt for the still and the prompt for the film. Every product down here is made up, so go ahead: swap in your own name and material, and the rest of the prompt still does its job.

Questions people ask

Should a launch film be generated footage or screen capture?

Both. Screen capture for anything that proves the product works, generated visuals for the framing, the metaphor and the transitions. A film made entirely of one or the other ends up either unconvincing or unwatchable.

Can it diagram my actual architecture?

It can draft one from your description quickly, which is worth a lot when the alternative is staring at an empty canvas. It doesn't know your system, so treat what comes back as a first draft to correct.

How do I keep a release coherent across channels?

Decide the look once, park it in a reference node, generate every surface off it. Launch assets usually go wrong because each one got made by a different person in a different week, and a shared reference fixes exactly that.
