Questions
- Does the video lose quality?
- No. The picture is copied over as it is and only the sound is dropped, so the muted file is identical to look at.
- How long does muting take?
- Much less than compressing the same video, because nothing is rebuilt. You need a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari, and the page tells you when yours will not do.
- Can I lower the volume instead?
- Not here. This removes the sound completely. If you want it quieter, mute the clip and lay your own track under it, or pull the sound out and edit that.
