Download your data or delete your genvi account
You can now download a copy of your genvi data or delete your account yourself. Deleting gives you 30 days to change your mind.
You can now download a copy of your genvi data, or delete your genvi account, from the Account page. You do both yourself. There is no need to email support and wait. If you delete your account, we lock it right away and erase it after 30 days. Until then, you can change your mind.
Download your account data
Go to the Account page and find the Your data card. Press Download my data. genvi gathers your data and gives you a download link for one file. The file is made for computers rather than for reading, but it is your own copy to keep.
What is in it:
- your profile and settings
- your projects, your folders and saved versions of your projects
- a list of every file you uploaded or made, with a link to download each one
- workspaces you own and workspaces you belong to
- your subscriptions and your credit history
- templates you published, and your file access record
Your pictures, videos and other files are not inside that one file. Instead, it lists each one with its own download link. These links work for about five minutes, so download what you need right away. If a link stops working, press Download again to get a fresh one. Secret items are left out: saved keys for other services and our internal payment numbers are removed.
Delete your account
Find Danger Zone on the same page and choose Delete account. genvi asks you to confirm it is you. Enter your password. If you signed in with Google or a similar service and have no password, type the word DELETE. Then choose Schedule deletion.
- Your account is locked right away. You see an "Account scheduled for deletion" page, and you cannot use the rest of genvi until you restore the account.
- For the next 30 days nothing is erased. Choose Keep my account at any time and everything comes back as it was.
- After 30 days, your account is erased for good.
If you are sure, you can skip the wait. Choose Or delete immediately instead of waiting, confirm again, then choose Delete my account permanently. This cannot be undone.
What gets erased
After 30 days, genvi removes your projects, files, credits and any templates you published. Your stored files are deleted too, including files in a workspace you belonged to. Your paid subscription is cancelled and your saved payment methods are removed. We keep invoices and your customer record, because tax and accounting rules say we must keep financial records. If you own a workspace with other members, we pass ownership to one of them, so they are not removed with you.
Any message you sent through the contact form with your email address is erased too.

Legal pages
This release also adds a cookie policy page, a page with our data processing agreement (the contract that covers how we handle your data), and a list of the other companies that handle data for us. The privacy policy is updated, and the deletion page links to it.
What it costs
Nothing. Downloading your data and deleting your account are free. Credits left on the account are removed with it, so spend what you need first.
